2024 NECO GCE – Information in General

1. Registration money is non-refundable.
2. The Council is not accountable for candidate registration mistakes; therefore, apply to reputable internet cafés. (A list of proposed cyber cafés nationally where candidates may register can be found on the NECO website – Internet Service Operators – or at our State offices nationwide.)

Requiment for NECO GCE

• Online Signup:
• Online registration at www.mynecoexams.com will continue. Candidates should note:
• Registration captures biometric fingerprints.
• Registration captures fingerprints accurately.
• Fingerprints must match during verification to take the exam.
• Online registration requires applicants’ passport photos.
• The passport picture must be white and six months old.

CANDIDATES are no longer required to submit attestation photo cards at the NECO State Office for stamping.

NECO GCE Examination Centers:

Each state’s examination centers are organized into neighborhoods. Candidates should choose a state neighborhood to take the test. After online registration, they will be allocated a center in the selected neighborhood.

How to Apply for NECO GCE

• The NECO GCE (National Examination Council General Certificate of Education) application process is as follows:
• Registration Period: Check the NECO GCE website or pamphlet for exam registration dates. Registration dates are included.
• Get the Registration Form: Visit the NECO GCE website or registration centers to get the form. Download or print the form.
• Carefully fill out the registration form. Personal details, subjects, examination center choices, and other required information are included.
• Attach papers: Attach the required papers to the registration form. Passport-sized photos, birth certificates, and NECO-specified papers are acceptable.
• Payment: NECO GCE registration. Registration forms and websites will include fees. Bank deposits, internet payments, and other payment channels are options.
• Submit the Form: Submit the completed registration form, necessary documentation, and proof of payment to the NECO-designated registration locations or online portal.
• After submission, you may get a confirmation slip or registration number. Keep this slip/number for future reference.
• After registration, print the NECO GCE exam timetables. Print the exam timetable from the NECO website or portal.

NOTE -To upload candidate data to the NECO portal and obtain examination numbers, candidates must be registered and have an online account or create one through a cyber café. Log in and purchase registration tokens (scratch cards no longer used for SSCE External registration).

Neco Late Registration Fee

Late registration will result in an additional N1,000 fee. Walk-in registration starts November 15th and ends November 19th, 2024, with a fee of N25,000 per candidate. Registration must be completed one day before the scheduled exam date.

2024 NECO Registration Fee

THE NECO GCE Form registration fee is N11,350, excluding stamp duty, payable through NECO Treasury Single Account (TSA) SSCE (E) via the NECO website. Registration fee excludes accreditation cyber cafe service cost.

Blind Candidates

Blind candidates must register and inform the NECO State Officer of their intended examination location. They must also provide their Attestation Card for further action.

Albinos and Blind candidates receive 30 minutes extra time in all papers.

How to Make a Payment: NECO

Candidates or registration points must create an account on neco.gov.ng, activate it, and pay through ATM, internet banking, USSD, wallet, or bank branch.

Candidates should be aware that the use of scratch cards has been stopped in all NECO interactions.
