About Rhodes Global Scholarships

Until now, the Rhodes Scholarships have only been awarded in 20 constituencies which is about 60 different countries. But now, The Rhodes Scholarships are fully global.

This award takes care of the students’ living and educational expenses, and currently, they are looking for outstanding young leaders who are motivated to engage with global challenges and promote international understanding and peace.

In short, they seek young people of outstanding intellect, character, leadership, and commitment to service, and who demonstrate a strong propensity to emerge as ‘leaders for the world’s future.

With a Rhodes Global Scholarship, students can study at the University of Oxford for two years after receiving their bachelor’s degree, with the option to continue for a third year to pursue a PhD. There are few restrictions as to the field of study, but the proposed course must be available at Oxford and applicants must be academically prepared to undertake the course.

Every Rhodes Global Scholarship includes a maintenance stipend that is given to the student in addition to direct payment of all tuition fees to the student’s college. The Rhodes Trust also covers the cost of scholars’ round-trip transportation to and from Oxford. Access to specialized lectures at Oxford’s Rhodes House is another benefit.
