Kano government revokes certificates of private schools The Kano State Government has revoked the operational certificates of all private schools operating in the state, following a meeting with school proprietors. The Special Adviser to the Governor on Private and Voluntary Institutions, Alhaji Baba Umar, stated that all private schools were required to complete new registration forms immediately as the government had initiated the process for the issuance of fresh certificates.

Umar emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring private schools adhered to the prescribed laws and regulations for operating in the state. He stressed the need for enforcement of operational regulations by proprietors of private schools, including facilities, learning environments, curriculum, and academic schedules. The Special Adviser also assured parents of the utmost priority placed on safeguarding their interests and those of their children.
