The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has started registration for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private Candidates, 2024, First Series. How to register for the WAEC Exam

The WASSCE registration process is now entirely online for schools and private applicants, with candidates visiting www.waecnigeria.org after obtaining their registration, PIN. The registration process is designed to support biometric features for testing center validation. The Council updates national publications with entry deadlines and procedures.

The WASSCE is administered twice a year, once in May or June, for school applicants and once in October or November for private candidates. Schools handle all entry procedures. Prospective candidates purchase an entrance scratch card, complete the entry form on the Council’s registration website, and print an identification photo card with essential details like the candidate’s center, theme, and exam schedule.

The walk-in registration process
