Couple Killed by Gunmen A newly-wed couple, Rwang Danladi and Rwang Danladi were killed by gunmen at BECO Comprehensive High School, Kwi in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau.
The couple, who are teachers, were holding a meeting to compile student results for the school’s 2023 Speech and Prize-Giving Day. The incident occurred on Monday, and the Vice-Principal of the school, Dalyop Emmanuel, was seriously injured by the armed men.
The incident has sparked concerns about the influx of criminals in certain communities, particularly Fass and Mahanga in Riyom. The National Publicity Secretary of Berom Youth Movement, Rwang Tengwong, called on security operatives to urgently raid these enclaves to eliminate criminal elements that defied law and order.
