University of Exeter Pro Vice Chancellor’s NHS Postgraduate Scholarship- The Faculty of Health and Life Sciences is delighted to offer up to four Pro Vice Chancellor’s NHS Postgraduate Scholarships, worth £5,000, to NHS staff applying for one of the following Master’s programs for 2024/2025.

Eligibility Criteria for the University of Exeter Pro Vice Chancellor’s NHS Postgraduate Scholarship
To be eligible for Pro Vice Chancellor’s NHS Postgraduate Scholarship, the applicant has to meet all of the following criteria:
- Applicants holding NIHR academic clinical fellowships, pre-doctoral fellowships, or similar, in collaboration with the Medical School.
- Applicants must be NHS staff members; and
- Already hold an offer to study an eligible full-time Master’s program from the list above at the University of Exeter in the 2024/25 academic year (September 2024 entry).
- NHS staff applying for one of the following Master’s programs for 2024/25:
- MSc Advanced Practice
- MSc Healthcare Leadership and Management
- MSc Health Research Methods
- MSc by Research Medical Imaging
- MSc by Research Medical Studies
- MSc Clinical Education
- MSc Genomic Medicine
- MSc Health Data Science
- MSc Sport and Exercise Medicine
- Master of Public Health (MPH)
- MSc Clinical Pharmacy
The University of Exeter Pro Vice Chancellor’s NHS Postgraduate Scholarship Details
The scholarship will be awarded as a reduction in tuition fees; it cannot be paid in cash or attributed to other charges such as accommodation fees. It will be automatically deducted from your first-year tuition fees following enrolment.
If an applicant chooses to pay your tuition fees in installments, the award will be deducted from the total annual tuition fee, and the remaining balance split accordingly. This award is for one year and is not recurrent for subsequent years of study.
Please take note that you cannot normally receive more than one scholarship from the University of Exeter; if you are eligible for multiple scholarships, you will be awarded whichever scholarship has the higher value.
If your tuition fees will be financed by an external body (such as an overseas government or Chevening, Commonwealth, or a partner University) with whom the University has a shared financing agreement this award may be invalidated or superseded with a different fee arrangement.

Applications for the scholarship should be made, once you have a program offered, via the online application system by 17:00 (GMT) on 1 August 2024. Once you have received an offer for one of the eligible programs, you can apply for the scholarship via the online application system.
As part of your application, you will need to respond to the following questions:
- In no more than 500 words, how will undertaking your proposed degree program enhance the achievement of your ambitions?
- In no more than 500 words, what makes you particularly deserving of a scholarship and how will it make a difference to you?
- In no more than 500 words, what are your career ambitions and how have you used your studies, work experience, and extra-curricular pursuits to date to pursue them?
As part of your application, you will need to respond to the following questions:
- Enhancing Ambitions: In no more than 500 words, explain how undertaking your proposed degree program will enhance the achievement of your ambitions.
- Career Ambitions: In no more than 500 words, describe your career ambitions and how you have used your studies, work experience, and extra-curricular pursuits to date to pursue them.
- Deserving Scholarship: In no more than 500 words, discuss what makes you particularly deserving of a scholarship and how it will make a difference to you.
